Yes Keith. Not the best day for a walk but it looked really cool with mist and rain rolling in creating an eerie landscape.

Thanks, I haven't walked it for ages. I'll check it out next time I'm up that way.

Clue - This is very close to the previous photo (as the crow flies).

There is a building somewhere above to which most walking tracks ultimately connect or pass.

Are you at Point Pilcher or on that track off to the left?

BTW I can see the photo in Chrome, Brave and DuckDuckGo, so not sure why Tyreless can't see it

Sorry I don't think I can help Tyreless.
I just tried accessing the forum on my wife's older mini iPad (ios9) in Safari and the image displays fine.
No problem on Windows 10/Firefox either. Nothing special about the photo, a jpeg like every other I've posted (approx. 1 Mb).

Not Point Pilcher, head WSW. The building I referred to is very large.

The big building must be the Hydro with Shipley on the horizon ?.... but I don't recognise the structure.

Hydro and Shipley Plateau are correct Keith. I was hoping someone might know this spot but that's good enough.
This is part of the remains of the old flying fox that was once used to haul goods from the Megalong Valley up to the Hydro.
I had a further clue - I'm near a few siblings favoured by rock climbers (accessed from trails via Bellevue Cr).
Over to you.

Not sure what you need - Shortridge Pass?
Here is my own photo from approx. the same spot, but I'm not aware of a specific name, and nothing on maps:

It is not named on the map. You have got the correct spot though - the dip in the track to Shortridge Pass. It is known as Lockleys Chute - it's an alternate (& v. steep) pass into the valley.

That's a tough one. I recognised the location but haven't heard of that name, it's not in my Brian Fox or Macqueen books, and only found one reference online.
