The NZ Topo Map shows a walkwire on the creek that flows from the Beetham and Barkley Glaciers just before it reaches the Haupapa Tasman Glacier. Would that be it?

Yes that's it. Yep even NZ topo has it marked! Its over the lower Beetham Valley, not too far from where the old Beetham hut used to be.

I didn't get up there. But the photo above is about 150km east of Katla.

That's it. There were more icebergs near the road bridge. Over to you, wobbly.

I know there are a few areas in the west with features like this. I'll take a guess at Monument Valley.

Haven't been there but it looks like the great rock climbing area of Arches NP.

Lets move back to South America.

Name either the mountain left in background, or the town below.

I'm going to guess at Cusco - the airport runway is surrounded by housing much like in your photo, although I can't recall the snow capped mountains.

Yes it's Cusco. On an unusually clear evening I climbed to a viewing point on the range skirting the northern edge of the city and got a relatively rare clear view of Nevado Auzangate

Your getting warmer- or should that be colder. Try further south than TDP.

Time for a clue. this photo is taken from the second nights campsite on a recognised teeth chatteringly cold walk. The name of the walk and the mountain range are the same. Name either for the win.

I'll have to assume you dropped a nice subtle teeth hint - so I'll have to go with Dientes Circuit. Haven't been that far south but there is no way I'll go back to South America without visiting Patagonia!

Phew Thanks MM, I thought I'd blown it. Yes its the Dientes Circuit on Ilsa Navarino. Apparently the most southerly bushwalk on the planet and worth every bit of the effort it takes to get there. Whilst you can fly there the 30 hour ferry ride from Punt Arenas to Puerto Williams or back is pretty damn amazing too.

Over to you. :-)
