Yes eggs. Your turn.

Its impressive how they formed. The falls were 1 m high after the earthquake and the river was re-directed (due to landslide), and over the years have got to a height of ~10 m due to erosion and additional fault movement.

Haven't been there but looks like Aiguille du Midi. Location looks spectacular however I do admit it looks a little more touristy than my usual destinations.....

Aiguille du Midi is correct - in France looking straight into Mt Blanc and over the great glacier basin.
Quite a few adventurers were moving out onto the glacier and some were even camping on it.
But this day was just a typical tourist day for us.
The next day was the start of 11 days doing the Tour Mt Blanc which goes 170km around the range.

I would have thought some of you would have been here before as its a nice and challenging hike (no technical climbing required). Its the base camp for a well known mountain in The Alps.

Well, not exactly although I did use part of the Byron Ledge trail to get down here. Most of the lower part of that trail is closed due to volcanic conditons. You are close enough though. I'm at the currently permitted limit of the Halema‘uma‘u Trail in the caldera, looking roughly towards the crater/lava lake. Your turn.

I acknowledge Photohiker as the first one who mentioned Kilauea.

The following photo is from Spain. I'll accept the nearest village, or the name of the valley.

A kilometre or so up the valley, it flattens out a little and becomes treed. Looking across the valley, you see this:

The view from near the bottom of the valley. The distinctively-shaped mountain in the distance is the highest in the area and is popular with climbers.

Not in the Pyrenees, so that narrows it down a bit!

I'll keep posting nearby photos (because I don't do cryptic word-clues) until someone works it out. No hurry.

Never been to Spain - but thanks to your last photo I do recognize Naranjo de Bulnes. Nice mountain which is on my list.......

That suggests you are in Picos de Europa, but not sure on the valley. I'll guess Cares Gorge.

I am indeed in Picos de Europa. It's not the Cares Gorge, although my valley does flow down to the Rio Cares. To walk up my valley, you start by crossing the Cares on this attractive bridge:
