Looks like you are on the Ducaine Range looking past the edge of Massif over to Falling Mountain.
That would make the rise in the far distance the WOJ area.

eggs is correct
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 2:21 pm
Bit of ping pong amongst a few on a quiet day
Anyone else out there?
Try this one?
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 2:24 pm
I'm still here.......have been keeping track of the game but have not been able to jump in with any awnsers until this one.......
From the northern shore of Lake Myrtle with Mount Rogoona towering over?
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 2:30 pm
Good one Phil
That was a top spot - magnificent grass to camp on - delightful swimming after a stinking hot climb past Lake Bill and then this perfectly still moody morning.
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 2:35 pm
I recall arriving at this spot earlier this year and being blown away by the beauty of it.........we all agreed that we'd bring the tents back another time and park ourselves there for a couple of days!
I'll see if I can search out a photo.......
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 2:47 pm
Let's go with this one............

Thu 19 Nov, 2009 7:17 pm
So many things are not right with the pic.
I haven't been to the Bobs area, but I dream.

Thu 19 Nov, 2009 7:28 pm
You guys should check out the photos that phil posted from earlier in the year.
You will find one of you is close but wrong peak.
Then you will have to work out where phil was?
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 7:44 pm
Little Hugel from near forgotten tarn?
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 7:58 pm
Looking back at Phil's posts - i don't think he posts at night.
So you will probably only find out tomorrow.
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 8:04 pm
thats ok im at work tomorrow anyway i'll check before i leave at 330am.
on that note its bedtime for me
nightynight all
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 8:33 pm
Rather than Little Hugel I reckon the subject of the photo might be Mt Hugel with the western ridge of Rufus on its left. Taken from Shadow Lake or the track somewhere nearby. BUt I won't be on line again until tomorrow night so if by some chance (fat chance) that is right someone else better post a photo on my behalf.
Thu 19 Nov, 2009 9:16 pm
ILUVSWTAS,
Am thinking of feb AND july 2010. But nothing concrete yet. And I most often go solo.
Thanks for the interest/offer!
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 1:23 am
I know where it is, having walked through there in August and my own photos match. Pending Phil's judgement but I suspect Bauera might be close enough.

I think bauera is close enough; yes the photo is of Mount Hugel with the western ridge of Rufus on the left of the pic. I've added a google earth image to show the location of where the photo was taken from.......I think it's fair to say that bauera's answer is good enough; it seems that bauera won't be on-line until later tonight; do we have the patience to wait till then............

Thanks for your patience, all. I too looked at Google Earth and thought that was where you were, Phil, but was unsure of how to describe it more clearly. Anyway, here is an easy one.
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:20 pm
Do you have a 7?
Sorry I mean are you in the walls near solomons jewels?
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:34 pm
Walls yes, Solomon's Jewels no. You will have to go fish.
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:35 pm
Hahaha!!
I like when people understand my warped sense of humour.....
Lake Salome??
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:40 pm
Also like your recent walks. Molto jealous! Hoping to get to Western Arthur's next year. But as to the game you need to look south. Not Salome. Perhaps you should think about which wall you are looking at and the angle/distance you are looking from. Can't say fairer than that, now can I, guv.
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:44 pm
Hehehe yeh i've been having some fun.
You'll have to excuse me too ive been up at 330 the last 3 mornings and must be starting to go mad... for some reason i thought it was king davids on the left. and still sure of it, but for some reason i was thinking that would put you north looking down..... like i said been up since 330.......
ok last guess then im off to bed lake ball??
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:46 pm
At last. Yes, perhaps a serious case of fatigue. i thought it was bleedin' obvious. But perhaps no bed for you until you post a photo
Fri 20 Nov, 2009 9:48 pm
I am on very slow links at the moment - so am not going to try answering.
Suffice to say we have tennis tomorrow... [better clue than fishing - although I have seen folk fishing in this lake]
Anyway - apart from that woosy feeling that comes from a tilted horizon - thanks for the photo.
It is very enlightening re one part of the next Tas adventure we are preparing for.
