You're a little closer, but you need to head north.

Sorry Rexy, you need to go a lot further north than that. It's quite a unique feature at this lake. Here's another shot at the same place, with apologies to my headless friend:

I am, IDP. That should narrow it down nicely for the name of the lake.

I was thinking Westons then

Maybe Mount Thetis?
Wed 14 May, 2025 4:29 pm
That’s correct Reubs.
Just a little beyond the summit at the lovely little tarn and just prior to dropping down to Leonards
Over to you

Wed 14 May, 2025 6:54 pm
Well done

Gorgeous spot!

Thanks Reubs. That is a beautiful place indeed
Next, where am I camping here (I accept that there isn't a great deal of landmarks to go off, but to the east there is a spectacular view)?
Thu 15 May, 2025 10:21 pm
White Monolith Range?
Fri 16 May, 2025 5:44 am
Not quite that remote or difficult Last.
I’m only at about 550m ASL and the view that I mentioned to the east is of the coast.

Not wanting to hold the game up, I shall hopefully move it along by showing the view that I was referencing ....
Fri 16 May, 2025 3:47 pm
Are you on the New Harbour Range?
Fri 16 May, 2025 3:58 pm
Precisely - a beautiful high camp right under the New Harbour Range high point
Over to you ….

Maybe Mount Cripps?

Yes it is Mount Cripps with the Vale River bushfire visible on the right.

Thank you

Mount Cripps is a lovely mountain.
The photo of the fire is interesting. I was planning on visiting Reynolds Falls recently but the fire stopped that

The next one isn't too far away..
