It is indeed Stanley Chasm - after walking through it to the uphill side and looking back down through it.

The whole area there is interesting with a number of side gorges and chasms to explore.

Thanks eggs,

It is a great area to visit, it has been a long time since I have been there but I hope to get back there soon.

This one is in NSW on the main range, name the peak in the middle of the photo

Looks like it might be Abbott Peak with the edge of Townsend just in view on the right

Hi John,

You are right it is Abbott Peak with the edge of Townsend, the photo was taken on my highest ten walk in January.

Your turn John.

Hi Tony. I would like to do that trip sometime myself. I've climbed the highest ten but not all in one go, I think the best I've managed is 4 in a day.

Next one is in NSW and should be fairly easy. We are about to walk up this mountain travelling L to R, what is it called?

Hi - I've been looking through the pics to see what I've missed out on in the last couple of weeks.
Can I put in a request that pic posters edit the photo with a caption when it's been won? It's nice to look through previous photos and read where the shot was taken, ta :)
We'll get fit on the way.

Further clues. A number of easy bushwalks in this area and it's a popular climbing and abseiling location.

A couple more. This location is not managed by the NPWS and the area has several historical features.

Sorry Melinda, not Megalong/Piddington area but you were getting closer. I'm on the northern side of the Great Western Highway not too far from Mt Piddington.

Tony has it, I am looking at Mt York from near Hartley Vale on the Lockyers Rd/Coxs' Pass circuit walk. Your go Tony.

Thanks John,

It was a lucky guess, I found a photo of a similar looking hill with some boulders and some farm land nearby.

This one is in NSW and what is the name of this very beautiful Plain in the in this photo.

A really easy one to encourage some more players. Not exactly bushwalking but perhaps a bush theme. With Mrs JW and someone's small dog wandering around in the background, what is the name of this location in VIC? I don't know about the fellow in the middle but he looks 'armless.
