Wed 17 Jun, 2009 12:48 pm
Ok should be a reasonably easy one.
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:08 pm
Haven't been along the Southern Ranges yet so will have to take a stab:
Pindars Peak?
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:12 pm
Too easy maybe! spot on Stu, taken from the top of Pindars Peak looking west towards New River Lagoon.
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:15 pm
This one will also be easy for those in the know:
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:19 pm
Well I can recognise the Thumbs and Clear Hill
So would it be from Mt Wright?
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:21 pm
Nice work eggs, spot on.
Maybe a little too easy again?
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 1:33 pm
Yes, easy is nice and it ticks over very quickly.
But we need to test the brain matter. [click for larger view]

This is a really good one
And I have just realised that it might not be so much "How well you know Tasmania" as how much do you pour over everything in this forum.
Well there are a few parts I don't pour over, but I love the photos and there is at least one good shot of this spot from a different angle.
I would like to suggest you are on the side of the Boomerang overlooking Lake Sydney.
I suspect you were either on the way up or going down - so how high is that scoparia?
eggs
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 7:14 pm
well done eggs, back to you!
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 7:19 pm

sorry eggs, just blanked and forgot to reply about the scoparia... anywhere between thighs and head height... nasty!
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 7:57 pm
I think you might be looking southwest toward Mount Oakleigh from about halfway between Cradle and Barn Bluff on the track to Barn Bluff. Probably closer to Barn Bluff than Cradle, somewhere before the climb up Barn Bluff begins.
If I am correct I will pass my turn on to someone else as I don't really have any suitable photos.

Well done bushrunner
Its just past the hill in the middle of the track to Barn Bluff.
Some may have noticed the track and helipad at Waterfall Valley hut in the photo.
So the invite is out to anyone to contribute the next photo.
{PS - The photo you did submit was a great brainteaser - thanks for putting it in}

Oh please, pick me, I've got 4 or 5 but I'm too slow, must stop typing and post pix.
I'm sure you will all know this but it's one of my fave tracks

My guess would be the Lake Judd track next to Schnells ridge looking up to Mt Eliza
Wed 17 Jun, 2009 8:30 pm
