Less chit-chat and more guesswork would be nice.

No. (I was a bit snarky there, wasn't I?)

But what am I actually on?

The old Adamsfield track?

The old Rasselass Track going towards Gordon Bend?
Thu 02 Mar, 2023 5:18 pm
Neither of those is the right name, although you might be mixing things up with what I was on, which is the Bombadier Track from the Adamsfield Track to the Gordon River. Not the smartest idea I've ever had, going back that way.
Sort out the next go amongst yourselves; I'm too busy.

Graham is closer

Thank you. I’ve walked down the old track to the flying fox and on to Gordonvale many times in the past but didn’t know the bombardier track was there until I looked on ListMap.
My daughter took this photo some time ago. What was she flying towards?

Yes, looking over Lakes Millicent and Magdalen to Frenchman’s Cap with Clytemnestra on the left.
Fri 03 Mar, 2023 8:22 am
Ok, what are we looking at and where are we heading?

Looking at the Frenchman, with Clytemnestra behind you?
Fri 03 Mar, 2023 1:32 pm
Yep, different shape from behind.

It was the short lower cliffs that gave it; otherwise I'd still be scratching my head.
From where was I looking at that lovely red tent?

Looks a lot like I remember citadel shelf.

Right range, wrong bit. You have been here, however, and have a good story about it.

Oh Dear God. The trauma is real.
It's the shelf just east of Mt Frankland.
I should go back there. Lighter pack next time.

Guess you know where this is then?

Sorry; I did not mean to trigger you.
But it's a good campsite and Secheron is such a lovely mountain. Provided you don't try to go down the cliffs.

Just because I've been there doesn't mean I can put a name to it. The brain doesn't work like that.

There are not that many lakes on that walk!

Surprise Lake from Mt Giblin?
Mon 06 Mar, 2023 6:31 pm
Good try! Wrong direction though.
Nice pick up with that tiny corner of fake Pedder shining through!
On this trip I climbed fell down the north of secheron and so didn't climb Giblin!

I could imagine you are looking at the lakes below Coronation Peak from near Double Peak - but not convinced.
