Hi
I am new to this site and thinking of going hiking for 2 days 1 night in the Blue Mountains area. I am a novice and took navigation course recently but would like to go out and practice more. Can anyone please let me know where within the Blue Mountains area that is good and easy for beginner to do overnight hike? or any other sites within 1 to 1.5 hours drive from Sydney?
Many thanks
Davlam

Hi David,
There are still a number of areas in the Blue Mountains that are not open yet. It would be best to check the NPWS alerts website here:
https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/vi ... cal-alertsIf you just want to do a gear check then why not Six Foot Track, Megalong Valley to Cox's River and return. Easy route to follow to a good campground and I believe it is open.
Regards,
Michael.

Hi David, do you know about wildwalks?
http://wildwalks.com.au There are a lot of walks near Sydney on that site and listed by various categories. The one that may interest you the most is the multi-day section
