Kowmung via Mt Armour post-bushfires

Has anyone made it to the Kowmung via Mt Armour in recent months? We’ve attempted to get down there three times since the 2019 fires, each year getting a little further, but always thwarted by the post-fire regrowth. Our best and most recent effort a year ago got us to Mt Armour itself where the regrowth was impenetrable, not even enough room for two ppl to sit for a break. Running out of time and not knowing how the vegetation would be at the bottom and along the creek to the river we decided to turn back and camped yet again on the fire trail. While it’s disappointing having to turn back, we are loving seeing the fire trail disappearing and “re-wilding” into a walking track again. Am thinking it’s time for this years attempt but any current intel greatly appreciated. We are very familiar with the trail (as it used to be) and on/off track walking in the area.
