Seeking Interested (or Interesting) Bushwalkers with Stories

Good Morning All!
My name is Liam - 25 years old and born & raised in the Blue Mountains.
I've been making short videos on my outdoor adventures over the past year-or-so; covering areas in the Wollemi, Kanangra and greater Blue Mountains region. I have a particular passion for canyoning and bushwalking, and although I love climbing too - I am very average!
As I've gotten older, I've started to appreciate the history of these regions and the interesting stories of the bushwalkers that navigated them. I'd love to make a series of short films, in a documentary-style format, speaking with passionate outdoorsmen and women, discussing their journeys and adventures through the Australian bush. Unfortunately, I can't offer any financial compensation (as I don't plan on making any money from this series) but can offer a lift, free lunch, and the opportunity to have one of your stories immortalized in a publicly available video that can be watched and shared with family and friends. I am very much a novice film-maker, with some of the gear and a little bit of an idea, but don't want anyone to expect the next Nat Geo documentary.
I'm hoping to see if there is anyone on this forum who lives a couple hours from the Blue Mountains and that has an interesting story about an adventure that they've undertaken in the Australian bush - preferably older stories as opposed to more recent adventures. My plan would be to spend a day filming you as you discuss the adventure and memories you have, before completing the same hike/climb/canyon/whatever trip myself, with the footage to be combined into a single documentary-style piece.
Appreciate everyone's time and I look forward to hearing from you.
