Baw Baw Plateau - Mt Erica Crpk to Baw Baw Village

Hey there,

I need some help clarifying the water on the Baw Baw plateau around this time of year. (Nov-Dec)


Water Sources:

-Talbot Creek
-Tyers River West Branch
-South Cascade Creek

-Gwinear Flat
-Mustering Flat

-West Tanjil Creek
(North and south of Sandy's Flat)


-The Little Creek

I understand that it all depends on the recent rainfall. What i am after is any first hand experience on the plateau in this time of year.
I have only really been on top of the plateau in winter and have little experience for the water here.

My plan is to walk from the car park to the village in a few days, might sit for a day so i'd like to know what is the most reliable of an unreliable bunch.


Any further advice and such would be much appreciated.
