Just wondering if anybody has walked up (or down) the Little River Gorge in East Gippsland.
I did about ten years ago and it was way and above the toughest walk I have ever done.
From memory it took nearly 3 days to walk about 16 km's from the junction on the Snowy River to the road at the top which takes you down to McKillops Bridge.
Some of the most breathtakingly spectacular country I've ever seen, but incredibly rugged. Sheer 300 ft. rockwalls, one section known as the "sheepdip" which has to be swum to pass through and an amazingly ancient feel to the whole place. Definitely not a walk for the faint-hearted or unfit walker, but well worth the experience.
Has anyone else done this walk/climb, and what were your impressions?
