Access to Craig's Hut from Mount Buller in winter?

Postby nixopixo » Sun 14 Aug, 2011 10:44 am

Hi all,

Am going to Mount Buller for a couple of days and was wondering if I can access Craig's Hut from there or if the roads are even open/accessible?
I looked at a map (http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/__data/assets ... irling.pdf) which looks like I should be able to access Craig's Hut from Mount Buller via Corn Hill Road then Summit Track, but these roads have been highlighted as seasonal closures.
Anyone know if I can get there this time of year via that route or if there is another way to get there? I will be driving a Prado.
If access to Craig's Hut is possible, approx how long would it take me from Mount Buller?

Thanks in advance.

Road to Craigs Hut is seasonally closed.

Might be tough getting there anytime in a Prado. ;) yuk yuk

Oh, cobblers. I've had my 2WD Hilux up there.
OK, it was not a very comfortable drive, but I managed.
