Can anybody tell me what are the best parts of D'aguilar national park are for overnighters? Which of the established bush camps are the nicest? Any suggestions or info appreciated

Hi there

South Boundary is ok but it is alongside a very busy management road which is popluar with mountain bikers. However the site has a storm shelter and logs to sit on and there is access to Enoggera creek via Scrub Road. Lots of space and fairly tidy.

England Creek is quite remote, therefore has good privacy, it is next to England Creek which is a really nice spot, however the campground is just really a dirt patch which, last time I visited was quite messy from previous campers and overgrown with weeds. Nearby there is also Northbrook mountain where you can camp.

Dundas Road is fairly simple spot to camp, it has a water tank and I'm pretty sure has a storm shelter, so does Lightning Line road campsite which is not far from the road at Mount Nebo.

South Kobble and North Kobble are worth a look if you don't mind hiking into the park a bit. North Kobble is nice and grassy and off the main track so good privacy here. I haven't been to South Kobble Creek as yet, but I hear it is a really nice spot, it's at the bottom of a knoll on a fire break off the 'Lepidozamia' track and there is some navigation required to get down to it. North Kobble is further along the same track near the Falls.

For a really nice camping spot just south of D'Aguliar, may I suggest the one near Lake Manchester. Hope this helps.
