Good family camping with good facilities etc

I was told you can't camp on it. This is obviously not true. Is it true you have to do a bit
of hand over hand to reach the top?

You are allowed to camp at Mt Walsh, Camping permits available from the Maryborough Parks & Wildlife Service Office. It's remote camping. You are not suppose to camp in the car park area. Park the car there and walk away from the car park.
Yes, it involves Rock Scrambling in some sections near the top of Mt Walsh. At times, your on your hands and knees, Do not attempt the climb if there is any likely hood of rain. The rock face is dangerous at the best of times and virtually imposible when wet, very slippery. A rope is very handy in some sections.
