Hinchinbrook Island - Warrawilla Creek

Postby Don R » Thu 22 Aug, 2024 8:17 am

Hi all, I’m going off to Hinchinbrook shortly for the first since 1990 ( that makes you feel old). Anyone been up Pineapple Ridge or Warrawilla Creek recently? I’m curious about how navigable the creek now is, it’s been a long time since I went up that. Thanks.

I would be interested to know too about the Pineapple Ridge route to Mt Bowen and how many do that these days.
I went up that way twice in the 80s. Great memories of wonderful scenery and challenging walking over North Bowen, Bowen and The Thumb, then down Zoe-Thumb Creek, and Zoe Creek down to Zoe Bay. One of the best walks.
