The Launceston Walking Club is going there from Tuesday, 26 December 2023 to Monday, 1 January 2024 so you will have some company in the area.

Trip description from LWC website:
New Year's Day on another of the prettiest beaches at the bottom of Tassie. Camp 1 will be at New Harbour. The walk to camp is slightly down hill and is about 12km, so if we can get an early plane flight (flights are over some of the most scenic mountains in Tassie) from Hobart that will leave us about 6 hours to get to camp. So pace will be very relaxed. Camp 2 will be at Wilson Bight where we will do some day walks before heading back to New Harbour. If interested, please ring Par Avion and see if there are any seats available to book. Cost is $650 for plane flights. Grades: to camp: 4, day walks: 1-5.
