Hi
For those interested in the Cape to Cape Track I have
revised and refreshed the notes from the walk of the Cape to Cape Track that the
Perth Bushwalkers Club completed in 2009.

We did this walk in 2009 and it was a later time in the year. We couldn't cross Margerat River then but if I was going now I would be planning on a dry walk across the mouth.

Great notes, read them all... I'm new to the forum but not new to the bush.
Am hoping to walk the C2C E2E northbound in about April/early May - anyone here know what the Margaret River crossing might be like or how I can find out without having to do a back-track if it is uncrossable?
Also, being late autumn, what do you think will be the water availability? or...Would I be better waiting until Oct/Nov to do this walk?
Any further suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
Elaine

Hi Elaine,
You won't have any problems crossing the Margaret River in April or May. October will be a bit of a swim but by November it is usually okay. If you do it after Easter, DEC will have filled up the tanks.
Also, I would definitely recommend walking north to south. It is significantly easier.
