WA Heritage Trails

Hi Everyone,

I have done a few of the heritage trails that were created in WA during the 1988 Bicentennial celebrations but was wondering if anyone has any information/maps of them. I found a book in the new Perth Library but it only gives a rough summary (there are 90 odd of them) and no map of each trail. I enquired with the Heritage Council about getting the brochures for each trail that were printed in the 90s but was told they don't have any remaining (great to see they are preserving our documents).

The trails I have covered so far are;

Jarrahdale Railway HT
Kattamordo HT (Bickley-Mundaring)
Point Possession HT (Albany)
Railway Reserves HT (Mundaring/Greenmount).

Does anyone else know of these old trails and can provide any info on them?

Hello,

There is the Mason and Bird Heritage Trail from Canning River to Masons Mill site in Carmel. I know this is a Bicentennial Heritage Trail as a plaque at the bridge approx 1km from the Victoria dam states this.

Good luck finding others.

Thanks. I came across this one when hiking the Kattamordo so will return to the area next winter to document it. Such a shame these trails weren't kept in good shape.
