I’ve booked my holidays for a solo E2E (West to East) next year.
Flying in to Alice Springs on 1 June then transport to Redbank Gorge (including food drops) on 2 June.
Anyone with the same start date want to share transport costs?

I thought I’d resurrect this thread now that we’re officially two months away from the Larapinta peak season.
Where I’m up to:
- gear mostly sorted - just some minor fine tuning
- new boots being broken in
- flights, hotel and transfer sorted
- dehydrated food sorted
- maps received and itinerary determined.
Training program (life permitting):
- 6-8 km pack hikes on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- longer pack hike one day of the weekend
- gym and/or bike ride other days
- multi-day hikes planned for Easter and May
See you on the Trail!

Fabulous, Chris. I will be walking in various parts of the West Macs during May, so I will just miss out on overlapping with you.
All we need now is some rain!

Hey Chris, if you still need help with transport / food drops then Glenn at Ten Bods in Alice can help you. He offers a cheap service and entertaining company. Call him on 0497 647 898 for prices / to book.

Hi Chris,
still up for a hiking partner?
I was planning the walk myself, just a week or so later. Could make it work.

I’m good thanks, August,
All prepared for being (mostly) on my own.
