$165m spend over four years on outdoor adventure

Postby Aushiker » Tue 30 Apr, 2024 11:28 am

While most of the projects are focused on mountain biking the mention of the Wadandi Track caught my attention. I had not heard of this.

Premier Roger Cook, Transport Minister and Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti and Environment Minister Reece Whitby today announced a $165 million 'outdoor adventure' investment package over the next four years, including $45m on MTB facilities.

The package features a $17.5m, 110km expansion of the Wadandi Track...When complete, Wadandi will be one of the longest biking/hiking trails in the country...
"We advocated for the Wadandi extension so it's great to see this investment going ahead," said WestCycle CEO Wayne Bradshaw. "It'll be a fantastic addition to WA's trails network along with the other initiatives announced today."
