Yes Ros - it's all over the Central Plateau. But some of the best pockets I've seen are around the Orion Lakes, between the Traveller Range and the Mountains of Jupiter. It's untracked, so you'd want a good forecast and competence in off-track navigation. It should colour up about the same time as the fagus on the southern flanks of the Du Cane Range (visible from the Overland Track near Windy Ridge). It's usually best in early May, but maybe check through this forum with anyone who has walked the Overland Track after about Anzac Day.
