Track Condition - Cuckoo Falls

Postby lazza63 » Wed 19 Jan, 2011 9:54 am

Hi Bushwalkers,
Just a quick note to let you know that my Son and I walked the Cuckoo Falls track last week.
There are a couple of spots where trees have fallen across the track which made the journey a bit harder than normal.
My advice to parents with young children if you attempt this walk is to watch them very closely, there are a few spots on this walk where the track is very close to the edge of deep ravine's.
Vegetation (Bracken) is growing quite substantially across the early stages of this walk, and yes we did encounter quite a number of leaches as it was wet.
(Friendly advice - take salt),
Having said that, It was an enjoyable walk, well worth it!
:D

Thanks for that. It's a great walk. Has the track work (board walk and creek crossings) at the start of the walk been finished yet? How many trees are down?
