Managed to jump straight into this area two days after the road reopened after fire closures. Found the scrambling quite enjoyable myself, but was more impressed with how my parents fared
Some photos from the trip as well as a brief description of the area.

Thanks, and sure will! I'm actually curious myself to hear how she describes it, and she's a better photographer than me so looking forward to those most of all.

Thanks Lizzy! It was actually my parents idea in the first place - they'd summitted Anne herself previously, but had never completed the circuit, and thought that dragging along a daughter and son-in-law with a rope might increase their chances of making it around. And indeed, it worked!

Great writeup and kudos to your parents.
Best short multi-night walk in Australia that one.

Yeah it was pretty massive kudos to my parents when we managed to Notch - I was impressed! Bushwalking runs deeper than fitness perhaps!
And I would agree readily about it being the best short multi-night walk too. In fact, looking through these photos, I want to return already...

Inspired by all the interest in the contrasting perspectives of the walk, my mum and I will be writing up an article for Wild for Mother's Day next year (Campbell plans issues a long way in advance). So I'll inform you all in a year if that eventuates!
