Walking Or Wading ?

Just wondering how wet it might be through Jaffa Vale to Lake Ball and back up the Junction Lake track to Lake Loane at the moment. Looks like a bit more rain and possible snow in the next few days. Will it be a walk or a wade.? Any info appreciated.

Guess I’ll just have to go and have a look for myself. I’m off tomorrow and have the floaties and flippers packed just in case ! Might take a few extra thermals to deal with the overwhelming springiness in the weather too. roll:

Fins. Flipper was a dolphin.

I'd imagine it'd be more wet than more dry. That's a technical term!
I was up Roland couple weeks back and whilst not saturated, the track was wet throughout, running in places.
One option south of Damascus Gate is to hug Wailing Wall in Damascus Vale. That maybe drier.
Or climb back up onto Wailing Wall and head along coming down off Moriah. Scrub would no doubt be different.
I've done that and it's rather rewarding walking along the top.
Return back up from Lake Adelaide I'd suggest given the fairly consistent wet and snow we've experienced you're in for an interesting experience. Nothing yet, has really had time to dry out before 'down she comes again'.
Yes take something warm. She's been a pretty ordinary blustery day here at Sheffield and looking back to those places it's got 'that look' about it.
Enjoy the trip anyway

There isn't any scrub until you stuff up the descent from Moriah to the track.
