I went in to the beautiful Lake Sydney on Sunday, climbing Mt Bobs yesterday. It was predominantly a great trip with some superb scenery. For anyone interested (or if you want to take your mind off the Gell River fire), you can read about the trip here: https://tasmanianhikingblogs.wordpress. ... -6-7-2019/

Nice one Lucas. I've been meaning to get up there. I attempted it last March but turned back about 2'ks along Farmhouse with a roaring wind and hail storm. Look forward to your video and seeing the route you took from Sydney to the saddle

It was a pretty bad route on the climb up! Not helped by wet vegetation... descent was far easier.

I did that the other way around - found tape on the descent and tried to follow it, and it just led me into gunge. My ascent line - under those sandstone cliffs you mentioned - was much better.
