Denmans Cove (Tasman Peninsula, opp. Port Arthur)

Last week I had the need for a contemplative escape after a rather hectic few weeks of moving house & preparing the old place for sale. Slowing the pace for the soul to catch up kind of trip.
Went towards Denmans Cove, with the idea of maybe going on to Surveyors Cove. Denmans Cove is flagged as a boat transfer point for the proposed 3 Capes Track. A hut is planned somewhere up & behind Surveyors Cove.
I'd been to Denmans & Surveyors by kayak before, but not on foot.
The walk from the car park to Denmans is an easy 2 hours, well marked.

Looking South just before reaching Stinking Bay. Arthurs Peak in the distance on the left.

Stinking Bay. Didn't stink at all while I was there.

Camp at Stinking Bay, ~200 metres up the inlet.

Later I found quite a big camp site on the other side of the creek.

On the way to Denmans Cove, looking back at Stinking Bay.

At Simmonds Creek ... it did stink here ... spot the dead seal amongst the wood.

Denmans Cove

Signs of erosion. Quite a big change compared to 2 years ago.

Taped route leading south, presumably part of the 3 Capes Track project.
