I am off to Thailand in August for work and have the option of some extra time and I am keen to get out of town and hike some country.
Anyone out there done any multi day hikes they could recomend or got any local insight that would be helpfull.
I prefer stuff on the tougher side of the norm, longdays and steep climbs for rewarding views make the best memories for me.

If you like to walk, I hear there's a place called walking St in pattaya. About 2 hrs from Bangkok, it's a real eye opener

Depends where your going to be based.....
Head to the hills around Chiangmai, ChaingRai, Chiang Dao, Doi Inthanon NP etc etc...for hilltribes, rivertrips & cave exploration,
ridgeline, cloud forest walks, waterfalls etc.
Then when your done, soak those aches & pains away in a local hot spring. Bliss. 8-)

I'm sure there'll be similar clubs wherever your working in Thailand.

I am only going to be there for 4 days for work so was thinking of taking an extra couple of weeks so I could get out of town and see some mountains.

I dont really have a base to work from as such and with travel pretty cheap over there anwhere is good.
