The "magpie" is actually a butcherbird, they're quite common in the mallee. The 2 white cockatoos are Major Mitchell Cockatoos, less common than the Gallahs but still seen often in the Mallee. You were lucky to see the lace monitor, never seen one there, dragons and shinglebacks are more numerous.

A butcherbird has a white underbelly. I think magpie is correct.

The magpie pix was taken in the Pink Lakes, which are really nice places for walking, landscape pix, and free camping with stary nights.

Definitely a Maggie. Showed the photo to the Maggie family that lives on our place and they confirmed it.
