Hi,

Has anyone done this recently? https://www.alltrails.com/trail/austral ... alley-loop
Some people seem to warn about the lack of shoulder on the road and then there is this FKT: https://fastestknowntime.com/route/kang ... -australia

Any info appreciated

Haven't done it but know the area.... you could avoid the roads by using the east rim track instead of moss vale road and drop down to bendeela and follow the foreshore to avoid jacks corner road? Griffins farm would be a logical (and nice) campsite if starting/finishing at Fitzroy Falls. Should do a side-trip to Mt carialloo as well

It's just I took family to the FF lookout which I'd never been to and was like oooh I wonder what I can do down there? Then this was the most interesting thing I could find on google anyway.

If you're up for it the walk up Yarrunga Creek from Griffins Farm to the bottom of the falls is well worth the effort. Has a variety of vegetation communities and some spectacular scenery. All off track, and you will get wet.

If Yarrunga creek is anything like the old timealong Rd or “milk road” since the fires/floods….mate, be prepared for war!

Hoping that once the incense plants die off Timealong will become passable again, but only time will tell I guess. Not sure how far the fires burned up Yarrunga Creek - they didn't reach the falls.
