Postby norts » Fri 21 Dec, 2012 7:13 pm

I have borrowed from Dad all his old The Tasmanian Tramps. he doesn't have them all but they cover a wide variety. Just reading January 1968 No. 18
A bit of info if anyone is interested.
A Peak-Baggers Guide to Tasmania by Tim Christie . He says the original list started 3 years ago so I presume 1965, only had 6 peaks - Federation, Frenchmans, Mt Geryon, Mt Anne, PB and Cradle. This article say it is now extended to 200. 25 first class peaks, 75 second class and 100 third class. The maximum amount of points is 555 . There is also a 50 point bonus for anyone who completes the 3 peaks in a weekend_ Ben Lomond, Mt Murchison and Pinders Peak.
One of the mountains is on Macquarie Island - Mt Jeffreys - 5 pts
Also rated is your performance
