Mountains to Miniatures exhibition

Postby Taurë-rana » Fri 01 Nov, 2013 10:08 pm

Mountains to Miniatures is an exhibition put on by Joan Humble who is one of Tasmania's foremost artists. I grew up a few doors down from the Humbles and they are close family friends so I've grown up with her paintings and always appreciated them because they reflect the beauty of the bush that I love so much, but this is the first time I've actually been to one of Joan's exhibitions.

Kevin Doran opened the exhibition tonight, and the exhibition is in the Lady Jane Franklin Gallery in Lenah Valley Rd. The paintings are spectacular and the gallery displays them very well. It's on from the 1st to 24th of November, weekends only from 11am to 5pm.

Love the paintings!

Capturing landscapes with photography is one thing but a painting just adds another dimension.

Might have to buy one...
