Interesting. The terrain around the Brindle Bull can be a bit confusing if you aren't used to it, or in bad weather. It's far more complex than the maps suggest.
At least they got themselves out safely.

Thanks that was a good article which was quite insightful. Hats off to all of our search and rescue people around the place, your efforts are certainly noticed and appreciated. Can't think of the pain that calling off a search would have for all concerned, family especially, though it must belt the pride of the searchers that they didn't get the job done

Did we ever find out how this couple survived the night without shelter? Rock overhang, did they have a bivvy, extra clothing, did they build a fire? Just wondering'.

Haven't been able to find anymore info. It says they were not equipped for the night but they did have thermals. Just very lucky I guess.
