Even without speaking the language, the message of this video is crystal clear – it’s not easy to catch your partner’s crevasse fall with a self-arrest.

Amazing to see how many fails there were even if the ice axe was used properly. Very cool avalanche, that was a surprise to all who watched here.

Cool vid. And the guys trying to arrest the fall were warned! Imagine if the reaction time in a real emergency was added.

Most people seem to gloss over the risk of falling in a crevasse, as it's usually fairly avoidable. But with a lot of climbs being attempted as teams of two it doesn't look like you'd have much chance of stopping a fall!

Not just stopping a fall, joining it as well. As a big bloke I pity the poor person tied to me.
