My club is trying to maintain interest during the lockdown by having activities in our Facebook group. So we have things like trying to guess where a picture was taken and often incidental facts. We have also been having happy hour by Zoom every Saturday night, at a notional car camp somewhere exotic. Over Easter we are supposed to be at Newnes, so we had a "virtual car camp" at Newnes.

I want to make up a trivia quiz so am looking for some good general questions that are not region specific. Answers can be words or multiple choice.

Trick question. Answer ranges from "you don't need to boil it, just heat it to xx degrees" to " Until it all evaporates" (for heavy metals etc) depending on the type of contamination.

Do you walk faster easterly than westerly?

That's a bit region-specific. We usually walk east with a westerly tail wind, or west with headwind in Tassie. Makes a big difference!

Questions about clouds, constellations, finding north/south without a compass/device in the daytime and at night, something about frost hollows, expected temperature changes/100m change in elevation, tides, what factors increase risk of condensation in your tent, treatment of snake bite, survival stuff, e.g. how to get water if none apparent...
