Charity hike - Hiking in a school dress for girls in Africa

Hi all,

Firstly, I hope it's okay to post this here. I had a scan of the rules and I don't think I'm breaking any. To the moderators, please just remove it if I am (sorry!).

"Educate a boy, and you educate an individual. Educate a girl, and you educate a community"

So on October 6th I’m taking part in something called Do It In A Dress, for which I’ll be going hiking with a bunch of mates while wearing a school dress. My aim being to raise (as a minimum) the $240 that it takes to send a girl in Sierra Leone to school for one year (well, initially that was my aim but we've exceeded that so let's go for $480). I’m trying to convince my mates to don dresses as well but they’re being very non-committal. At worst they’ll be there to laugh and take lots of photos.
