No they don't, but this is not an Oz thing, this is a commonsense thing and could apply in any country where temperatures can rise that high.

I was at Narcissus the other day talking to an engineer who works at Moomba(SA) , they had an emergency and flew someone over from Canad non stop. As he was walking across the tarmac at Moomba he collapsed. He had basically left -40 and stepped into +40.
Acclimatisation is important

Id debate its just aclimatisation. Jetlag would be a factor. Dehydration is a big issue. The shock of all tbe factors plus a heart condition could have been the issue. Biggest time for heart attacks is monday morning rush hour people stay up late in the weekend. Body clock out when the alarm goes monday.. wake up dehydrated. ts enough to put people with cardiac problems over the edge

not just, but also: long haul aircraft flights expose you to really high CO2 and relatively low oxygen content air. This causes thickening of the blood, and is the cause of the increase in thrombotic incidents (such as DVT) ... one of those forms, breaks off, you're in a world of pain.
