Here is another tip:
If you split up the weight of the tent make sure you fall behind so that the other person gets plenty of rest at the cold, rainy and windy campsite waiting for the tent parts to arrive.

No-one likes having to climb in the top bunk all the time so if pitching tent on a slope be considerate and give your tentmate the lower side of the tent. That way you'll keep them warm and cosy when your rolling on them all night.

Don't turn off your mobile phone volume at night, so they can be awakened by the noises it makes when you get a text message from druken friends at 2 am. This is just to let them know how popular you are and they should be grateful you've given up time away from your friends to be with them

have your gear stored in the tent in supermarket bags, especially items you might need during the night,, rummage through the supermarket bags at random intervals through the night as often or as long as you need to. ignore any rude comments from your tent mate, they are just jealous they didnt think about saving money by using supermarket bags to store their gear in, because they just used expensive boringly quiet bags instead..

If you're lucky they won't show any symptoms until they get home

tell your tentmate you're into ultra lightweight hiking and instead of a sleeping bag you are just going to use your silver foil emergency blanket that rustles loudly like a giant empty chip packet every time you inhale and exhale and roll over or move.
