Opps...
But does it not bother you that the AMSA people thought it was going off 10km away from where it actually was?......
I thought that they were a little more accurate than that.

Read it again carefully Andrew

What model PLB was it? seems it was easily activated. The worst thing is you'll be up for a new one now!

The first 'reading' was about 2km from the activated PLB unit, accuracy increases as they get more readings (passes of the satellites) and can triangulate to get a position lock (or at least that is my beer mat understanding of it).
It is a GME Accusat MT 410G (pocket series), the dog not only managed to get it out of 2 zip lock bags, it's Velcro fastened neoprene cover and remove the security seal but she raised the antenna setting it off, all without damaging the PLB!!! Smart dogs Kelpies… I will send it back to GME and get the battery replaced.

I am not sure she would like to leave her older sister, they are pretty tight

such good fun to have around , I actually have 3 Kelpies, it gets pretty mad at times.

Who's a naughty dogy?
I love Red Kelpies.
That paler blue one in the photo looks like she might have a bit of Koolie in her. The eyes.
I once lost an expensive Seiko watch. Couldn't find it anywhere. Until I searched the new Red Kelpies kennel. It was sitting there with a pair of my jocks, a sock and a box of matches.
Naughty dog.

Managing more than one at a time is a major hassle, although it would be easier with girls.
The other one looks like the last kelpie I had, exact same markings and colour. The one before that was cream - people kept asking me if he was a dingo . . .

Big Kelpie fan here too. Actually it goes Aust cattle dog 1st then kelpie but seriously considering trying out a Koolie for my next dog. All great bushwalking dogs where sure fast recall is essential.
