I am wanting ideas / recommendations for top hikes to do.
I only get to go on a couple of hikes a year, as I need time away from my 3 year old. (She is at an awkward age, hiking-wise, where she won't be in carrier but she also is no good to hike at 3 years old as she dawdles, wants to climb, inspect insects, and trying to get her to go in a straight line direction would be hopeless.)
I did the Overland Track solo at Christmas, which I loved. And I have my equipment all working well.
Criteria:
* Can be anywhere in Australia that I can fly to and get to the trail head. (I'm flying from Melbourne Tullamarine)
* Ideally around 4 "ish" days hike. (Although I'm also interested in hearing about hikes that are shorter / longer.)
* Would be good if it's a trail that there are regularly other people on, as I'm going solo, and it's nice to see people at campsites and have a bit of conversation from time-to-time. Also if I was to ever have an accident, slip, it would be good to know someone would eventually come along. (I take a Garmin InReach etc, and I've never slipped before or broken anything, touch wood.)
* I prefer somewhere very memorable in terms of scenery etc, as I only get limited hikes.

Have you done the Falls Creek to Hotham crossing yet? I feel that it is at its best during winter Assuming that is you want to dawdle over it and take 4 days and you were equipped for snow. Easy walking, it's the weather than can make it a sometime epic

Realised you mentioned Australia but have you thought of New Zealand?
Amazing scenery, very well maintained tracks and huts. Huts usually have a number of other walkers so it's quite social.

An option which is relatively on your door step is Wilson's Promontory. There is a variety of options, but a most enjoyable 3 nights/4 days can be spent doing the Lighthouse circuit. You certain to meet others at the various campsites along the way. Great scenery as well.

Eastern part of the Larapinta. Walk for two or three days westwards and turn and walk back. Or keep going west to a suitable exit point (such as Standley Chasm) and hitch back to the Alice.
When you can leave the little'un for longer, the whole thing will be a good option for you.
There are public transport options for the GOW in Victoria, RNP and GNW in Dubberland.
Another good Tassie option for you would probably be the (Two out of) Three Capes, provided you can afford the fees - or I can give you a ride to and from the trackheads if you want the free option.

Crosscut/Mt Speculation? Maybe not the whole Viking Circuit. It doesn’t fit your criteria for being a particularly social place but the scenery is incredible.
