Jet Suit Rescue

I've wondered what becomes of bushwalking with flight technology advances, at this stage, when the noise levels become 'acceptable'. Maybe we are a long way from it but maybe we'll have S&R buzzing in soon enough?

Jet Suit paramedic takes Lake District test flight:

They will have to do lots of arm muscle work. It would be like holding yourself up on a dip bar for a couple of minutes. The problem with jet packs in the past is the short flight time.

At least this version emits dramatic soundtrack rather than deafening roar :)

One accident rescue becomes two.

Looks more like a gimmick than a serious rescue tool. The pilot would have to be extremely careful about his arm positioning and as xplora noted, his arm muscles would need to be well developed. Doesn't seem to be able to carry much in the way of first aid equipment either.

Let's face it, it's just a big drone with a human passenger. And probably not practical in less than ideal weather.

A human-carrying drone would work much better, being safer and being stable without requiring such extensive pilot training.
