Guys,

I just thought I would post a quick message to this forum.
I just started heading around australia and enjoy doing the odd bushwalk.
Actually I just finished the Overland Track and used this Forum to gather information in preparation of that.

As I travel through each state I would like to do many small walks and at least one major walk.
So I was after ideas on which major walks I should do or suggestions for websites that I could check out.
I would prefer not to go more then about 7 days as I think that is about my limit and would prefer tracks that are fairly easy to follow.

So far I was thinking of the below:
Queensland
Hinchinbrook Island

Victoria
Great Ocean Walk

NSW
Gilbratltar-Washpool World Heritage Walk

NT
Jatbula Walking trail

WA
Cape to Cape track

What do you all think? Suggestions?

Cheers,
Mike

In New South Wales a great walk is the Hume and Hovell track on the western slopes of the Snowy Mountains. It mainly follows the path of the intrepid explorers and although a total length of 440kms can, if desired, be done instages of around 30kms at a time.
