Just packed my most unusual bit of gear ever...

Fri 04 Mar, 2011 7:29 pm

Going walking with my daughter over the weekend, and have just finished packing. She is still toilet training (been going on waaay to long with complications - don't ask). So I thought that bringing a toilet seat would be prudent.

I found the best thing is a downed branch to sit over- otherwise things could get messy. I'm tempted to try one of those women's urinal thingies.

Do you need a kids size 11 Goretex boot, Nik? (A pair actually)

Yep, it's great when you find a nice smooth round log, over neat grassy loam, well away from any water courses, and there's a nice stick poking up from the log to put your toilet roll on, and then on the way back to camp, there's one of those short bristly tufts of grass to wipe your trowel on. hmmm... reminds me of Lake Myrtle. The only other thing you can add to that is a few cm of snow to avoid having to use TP at all!

She's a couple of years of size 11 yet, but it would certainly be good to have them ready. How much do you want for them? (PM, if you like).

I'll give them to you- remember a couple of years ago I was going to give you her last pair, but someone else got them and promised to pass them on to you when they were done with them. Anyhow, next time I'm in Laun. I'll drop you a PM.

Cheers.

I usd to do that, till I camped one night and no trees!
I learnt the squat method...oooooo soooo much better.

Could be tricky for a youngun' if they fell back though.......

Looks like a toilet monster lurking under the seat with the zippulls as eyes....

I can see little eyes and a mouth looking through the Toilet Seat. bit like a character from Sesame Street.
