Hi All,
am new to the site - but the bits'n'pieces that I've looked at over the last few weeks have led me to register and brave up to asking my first question! What suggestions do others have for walks to get littlies into bushwalking. I have been a bushwalker since I was a kid, but haven't done much at all for a few years now (was never REALLY hard-core anyway!) and am trying to get back into it with the kids (1.5 and 3.5 years) . As the eldest is starting to get a bit too heavy to be in the backpack all day we are scaling right back to doing walks that are at a 3yo's level, ie. very short and very slow! Pretty frustrating, but we are trying to do it with other friends with littlies too, which improves the experience. So far we have been to Snug Falls (3 adults, 5 kids - was a little bit too far for most), Silver Falls from Fern Tree (a bit too easy really!) and up the Truganinni Track a little way.
Any suggestions of short, easy, there-and-back walks which maybe get to something (a view, waterfall, playground) would be appreciated. And then maybe we'll end up with a whole squad of bush-loving young people in about a decade!!
Al.
