Those green plaid hut socks were not all that comfortable so over the last few days I have resewn the soles.
I turned the white wool to the inside after laminating the three layers with double sided Viseline pellon, added some dense CCF to the heel with spray on contact glue and then stitched on a leather sole.
Now they fit better and are warmer but I still need to add a tape or bungie from the heel to the instep.
A scrap of leather from Ceciles stash, not the butter soft kangaroo I used on the other slippers.
Not for bushwalking or ski-touring use as too heavy and bulky but should work out fine for the hut or the floored tents
Hand sewing can be very therapeutic and relaxing.
