Hi all!

I am very tempted to buy the EE Revelation Quilt 20F, but the shipping fee (USD 45) has been a deal breaker to me...

Since they do free shipping for international offer over $500 - anyone in Sydney is interested in buying this Quilt together? Looking to get the quilt by mid Oct so that I could test it out before my trip to NZ in Nov!

Hey, I'm looking to buy a Revelation too, but I'm in Melbourne. Would be happy to work something out - any suggestions?

I'm keen and in Sydney. Looking at a synthetic though. How soon till you order?

I was thinking of pulling the trigger sometime this week - need it by November. I'm after a Revelation Pro, down not synthetic. Either way, makes no difference to the postage Going to try PM you.

Yes I have a Rev 20F with the old Karostep baffle design. It's an awesome bit of kit, but I would go one rating warmer if you sleep cold.

So you're looking to buy the Prodigy? What's the total price? Mine is $270. We need total $500 for free shipping.

I want to pull the trigger as soon as possible too:-) But I don't know how to sort out the delivery between Syd & Mel! Let me know if you figure something out?

I am buying the quilt mainly for summer camping so I hope 20F would keep me warm! But I never tried a down quilt before so I am really not so sure...Might consider the 10F if I find someone to place an order together. Thanks for the advice!

I've never been cold. But I have been on the borderline of comfort at around freezing.

Having had a look at Australia Post charges, I don't think it makes much sense for us to split the package mate - we'd end up forking out for the savings to post the quilt from Sydney to Melbourne or vice-versa!

What a shame - I hope someone from Melbourne would see this post and order the quilt with you!

I might end up buying the quilt just by myself if no one shows interest in the next one day or two:-(

Got the Revelation 20F. Love, love, love it! Have used it mostly in cold conditions - including during a storm when i used it for the first time - and it kept me warm. Can't recommend it enough.

You made me want to order the quilt as soon as possible!

They do post in big boxes which is why it costs so much.
Its a lot but worth it

just remember dealing with Enlightenment, there is a waiting time while they make your quilt. I have 2 of their products. One is for my 10 yo son its superb (btw I searched the world for a UL children's down bag no luck! except for Enlightenment)
Synthetics I had a a synthetic Quilt made Mountain Laurel despite its recommendations and ratings (well below zero) on a very cold night (the water in my bottle turned to ice), I froze and shivered even with all my warm clothes on. No more synthetics for sleeping!

-20f (-1C). Intending for 3 season hiking. It hasn't arrived yet, but I understand it can take 6 weeks. Hanging out for it. Got a wide as I use a wide/thick mat (comfort over weight with some items for me). I think my wife wants one, but we'll wait until mine arrives and test it out first.

I have a 20F too, which is actually -6C by the way. The width is related to your body size more than mat size, but the wide is still a good choice as it gives lots of room to move around but can still be cinched in tight when needed. I was too hot in mine week before last on the Overland, with temps slightly above freezing overnight, but easy enough to ventilate for comfort.

Ordered one for the wife too the other day. Just couldn't resist. Mine has finally shipped (took 4 weeks).

I have the 20°F (-6°C) RevX, not sure if they still sell that model. I find it perfect for Aussie temps, slept in a T-shirt and some thin hiking pants about 2 weeks ago next to the Colo river when it was raining and found it nice and warm. I do run a little warm though.

I have the 30 fahrenheit. I find it's a very generous temp rating, although I think I must be a cold sleeper. I never have a thermometer so I'm only guessing, but I'd say I've used it in temps as low as around 3 degrees and have had to put on all of my clothes to only just be warm enough. I think on one night though I forgot to check the distribution of the down and a lot may have been down around my feet. I don't really see the point of those long vertical baffles - when would I ever want the bulk of the down anywhere other than on my core?

I did buy it for use as a summer bag though so I'm not that disappointed. It is very comfy to sleep in on mild nights. Unfortunately once you have a quilt that weighs half as much as your other sleeping bag you want to use it all the time!
