Hi
I completed the AAWT at the end of last year. Now, maybe I'm crazy, I'm contemplating doing it again at the end of this year, but taking a couple of extra weeks to really enjoy it.
I've heard mention of a way to bypass Johnnies Top. Can someone fill me in on where this bypass goes?
Thanks
Joe

If you can wait for six weeks, Bushwalking Tracks and Conservation (BTAC) is planning to work on the section from Johnnies Top to Buenba Hut, 8 to 11 March 2024.

Volunteers have cleared the Track from the summit of Johnny's top down to Corner Creek.
This work was completed during March 2024.
It was a tough job!!
We BTAC and PV workers recut the true route of the AAWT so that the bogus route is now redundant.
If you get out that way then you can thank us for our hard labour now that
it is a super highway until you hit the creek at the bottom.
