Two Weeks in Tassy

My brother and I were in Tassy for two weeks until this Sunday night (although he's still there for another 2). We were mainly trying to climb for those two weeks but the weather was a bit of a bugger. We went down there to escape the heat but it followed us. Still had a great time and I can't wait to be back there in a months time for my honeymoon.

Lake Dobson ( I think). We did the K Cole, Tarn Shelf circuit adding in the Mt. Field West Peak side trip making for a pretty exhausting days walk to finish off the trip.

Thanks Vagrom. That's probably my favourite too. Hehe, the hammock was a pita a few times. Especially when we arrived at Richardsons beach after dark in the pouring rain and were trying to find a site that had 2 trees and wasn't occupied. It's all worth it though for the comfort.

Nice one cams. I too have been in Tas. The weather has mostly been good, but your time at Freycinet and Mt Field trumps mine for sunshine! And nice to get away from rainy old Brisbane.

Ta. Yeah, I only regretted having the hammock a couple of nights at Coles Bay when the wind picked up a fair bit. No real danger of it going anywhere, just noisy. I did contact Terra Rosa to get a tarp but Evan is too busy with his expedition at the moment. It's from Bearpaw Wilderness Designs.

Ta. I didn't get many climbing photos with the Canon. I did have a GoPro with me too though and I just got finished putting together a bit of a video over the weekend. I'll put up the youtube link later on.

Good to hear. Yeah, I shouldn't complain. I think we were lucky to have the sunshine and a bit of excess heat than the other alternative. And yes, I think it rained here nearly every day that we were away.
