Reynolds Falls

Sun 16 Feb, 2014 7:48 pm

3 of us - in one day out the next.
Weather was good, a little warm but relatively pleasant for February.
A few photos from on the way in, the falls themselves and on the way out.
Hope some of the more personal ones don't bore you to tears.
Would I go back? You betcha!
But I'd spend more time doing it, spend more time in there enjoying it and preparing for that long haul back out, it's a slog with 22kg on your back.
Some may ask why such a heavy pack - we all took heaps of camera gear and yes I do have lighter gear but I wanted to make the most of this trip in case I never get to do it again.
Hope you enjoy, cheers.

If you look close you will see Casey below the waterfall, just to give some idea of the size

Thanks mate, we are pretty chuffed about it as well.
Been a long time coming.
Going back again another time but will spend more time in there if the weathers favourable.

Great shots. I like the wide angle of the falls the most I think.

Awesome photos Davo.

Thinking of doing this trip in early 2017 and then completing the OLT again. Can anyone tell the height of these falls? Have tried Googling it but can't find an answer. Thanks.

Check out the 10th photo down....the one with Casey standing in front.
It might give you some idea.......
I'd be guessing at around 50mts, give or take..........

Thanks Davo. Had see this photo. I think it's the only photo I have seen of Reynolds Falls that gives a perspective of how tall they actually are. From that photo I also estimated that they'd probably be 50m tall but didn't know if anyone knew their official height (if they have one).
